Brett Carron - CEO Brett has been funding litigation since 2006 and founded Harbour with Susan Dunn. A qualified English and New York solicitor Brett practiced in New York and London with Shearman & Sterling before co-founding Harbour. Prior to Harbour, Brett was a member of senior management of a $3bn investment company. He is a former law clerk to Mr Justice Melvin L Rothman of the Quebec Court of Appeal. Brett is a regular conference speaker on litigation funding. At Harbour Brett is also responsible for risk.

Susan Dunn - Head of Litigation FundingHarbour co-founder Susan has been described by Litigation Funding Magazine as the 'Grande Dame' of litigation funding because of her extensive experience in this area. She has also featured in The Lawyer's Hot 100 for her work in developing the use of litigation funding by lawyers, insolvency practitioners and claimants. An English solicitor (non-practising) she qualified at Wragge & Co, specialised in litigation, eventually moving into litigation funding and later headed up IM Litigation Funding. Susan is a regular conference speaker on costs and funding.

John Kingston - Director of Litigation Funding John previously headed up the Commercial Litigation Department of Travers Smith where his practice ranged across all aspects of commercial disputes including litigation and arbitration arising from corporate acquisitions and reconstructions, banking and insurance claims, professional negligence disputes and asset recovery litigation. As a Recorder, John also sits as a judge in criminal and civil cases.

Stephen O'Dowd - Director of Litigation FundingStephen was previously head of commercial litigation for British Telecommunications plc and responsible for all UK high value, complex or brand affecting disputes. An English solicitor, Stephen qualified at Addleshaw Goddard in 2000 and worked exclusively in litigation before joining BT's Commercial Litigation (UK) Team.

Sir Gavin Lightman, Chair of Investment Committee
A distinguished former judge of the High Court of Justice England and Wales, Chancery Division (1994 – 2008), the Honourable Mr Justice Lightman (Sir Gavin Lightman) has had a very wide ranging litigation practice in the UK and abroad and has given a number of important judgments. He was called to the Bar in 1963 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1980. He has lectured and taught extensively, including at the University of Sheffield and Merton College, Oxford. His publications include Lightman & Moss on the Law of Administrators and Receivers of Companies, written with Gabriel Moss QC, and is the leading work on administrators and receivers, now in its 4th edition. Sir Gavin is an accredited CEDR mediator and in 2009 was elected President of GEMME (the association of European judges committed to mediation). | |

Stephen Davies QC
Resident at Guildhall Chambers, Stephen is a leading barrister with a focus on corporate and personal insolvency matters, company law and sports law. Stephen has appeared in over 80 reported insolvency cases and in March 2009 was elected President of the Insolvency Lawyers’ Association. Martin Tonnby
Martin is a founding partner of Sequor Partners, a financial restructuring advisory firm, and has over 14 years experience as an advisor, analyst, trader and principal investor in distressed and special situations investments, including litigation funding. Nicola MumfordNicola is the former London managing partner of Wragge & Co and one of the firm’s senior dispute resolution specialists. She specialises in commercial litigation, mediation and arbitration including insolvency litigation, tracing claims, as well as commercial contract disputes and has particular experience in injunctions, as well as freezing and search and seizure orders. Ms. Mumford is a CEDR accredited mediator and is a Council Member of the International Bar Association.
