UK
Harbour continues to hold its Band 1 position as leading litigation funder in the UK since the guide was established seven years ago. Described by the legal directory as being “very supportive throughout the process. They have sufficient and expert resources and teams. They are quick at responding and always helpful.” The team is praised with one peer describing them as “staffed by ex-lawyers who understand the necessities of the law. They cut through the detail very quickly and come directly to the objectives. They are sensible and commercial.” Alongside the team ranking, Harbour also has two team members highlighted as notable practitioners. Australia
Harbour is a top ranked firm within Australian litigation funders. The team is described as “well experienced in large litigation. This is an undeniable strength” and elsewhere as “a well-established global brand that is very commercial and insightful. They are very sophisticated and experienced players.” Stephen O’Dowd has been also highlighted as a notable practitioner. One referee commented “Stephen is one of the most experienced international funders in Australia. He has a deep understanding of the jurisdiction and a wide network of contacts. He is serious, smart and formidable.”
Global Arbitration
Harbour has been recognised for its funding of global arbitration. Oliver Way has been referenced as a key contact based in London. The team is described as being “very smart and professional. I have dealt with a number of individuals at the company and all are very bright and very able.”
Latin America
Harbour maintains its Band 1 ranking for litigation funding in Latin America. Chambers notes a wealth of experience funding arbitration cases in Brazil and across Latin America. Canada
Harbour are again spoken highly of in the Canadian guide and are ranked in Band 2.
