David Stewart

David Stewart works exclusively for Harbour as our local representative in the Caribbean, based in Turks and Caicos, introducing potential investment opportunities to the Harbour funds.

David is an English solicitor who is also admitted to the Bar of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

A career litigator, David qualified in 1989 with Lincolns Inn firm Blyth Dutton, before moving to the Turks and Caicos as an attorney. He returned to London in 1992 to work at SJ Berwin, becoming a partner at that firm in 1995. In 1998 he became head of litigation at Olswang, which he subsequently led as Managing Partner and CEO from 2007 to 2014. David moved back to practice in the Caribbean in 2015.

David has managed complex multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration in jurisdictions as diverse as Malawi, Dubai, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Kuwait and Bermuda. He is also experienced in resolving complex disputes using his skills as an arbitrator and mediator, and sits on the JAMS panels in New York and Miami as an independent neutral.
