Director of Litigation Funding
Between 2011 and 2016, Kiran was Counsel at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre where she managed the administration of commercial arbitrations involving parties from Asia, Europe and the Americas.
In addition, Kiran was responsible for promoting the Centre’s dispute resolution services and Hong Kong arbitration in Latin America. She led activities in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. Kiran built her expertise in both international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations by spending time in arbitral institutions in Paris and The Hague.
She trained at Shoosmiths in the UK focusing on litigation, restructuring and insolvency and corporate matters. She also spent time in-house at AstraZeneca. Kiran obtained her first degree at Queen Mary University of London and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2011. She speaks fluent English, French, Spanish and Punjabi.
