Maurice MacSweeney

Maurice joined Harbour in July 2019. He is an originator in the investment team, sourcing investment opportunities from UK and US law firms, corporate counsel, and barristers.  He works on litigation and arbitration investments of all case types, enforcement and asset recovery matters, funding for portfolio, funder-backed CFAs and DBAs, credit facilities, debt financing, and lending to law firms.

Maurice is particularly involved in providing the training which Harbour offers to lawyers on different aspects of litigation funding, and he leads Harbour’s webinar series.

Maurice holds a law degree from the University of Cambridge, and began his career at a firm of specialist fraud litigators. He joined Harbour after ten years’ working with barristers, leading the business development strategy for 2 Hare Court (the Chambers of Jonathan Laidlaw QC), and subsequently Doughty Street Chambers.
